Price increases at PCBWay and JLCPCB?

Some years ago I was able to design a little PCB and order it from PCBWay for less than $25 USD total including shipping. Today, I designed a small PCB for my testing project for a small 3x4 inch PSB, and even at the smallest quantity when including shipping I was saddened to see the price is now nearly $50, and I also hear stories about people also having to pay an extra tarriff to DHL before it is released.

For me, it is just not worth the price of $50 to get 5 small boards made. I was wondering if anyone feels the same way. Is there any way to get around this problem, perhaps someone offers a service to group many orders together to share and spread out the shipping cost?

Please let me know what you people think about this problem.

Thank you.
