At the end of my rope with new build not booting. DRAM error
Here are the components.
Note: I had patriot Viper Venom DDR5 2x16 GB, 6000 MT/s before.
I had initial problems with it booting with the DRAM error. I Re-seated the RAM and loosened the screws on my IO cooler.
I had a successful boot. For a while, it was working okay. When the computer is on and working, it works great. I was able to set it up and play games on it with stable temps and no problems.
If I shut it down it won't turn back on. Mobo has "DRAM" Led glowing.
Things I tried:
-every configuration of RAM possible, 1 stick, 2 sticks, different slots, etc.
-Flashing BIOS with a USB
-Taking the battery out
-Double checking all cables and power cables to make sure they were properly seated.
Sometimes it would boot up again, but if I shut it down, good luck getting it back on.
I changed the Patriot ram out for the G.Skill Flare, which is on Gigabyte's list of supported ram for this Mobo.
After a few tries I got a successful boot. I turned it off and on many times to confirm that it worked. I turned it off that night and the next morning I turned it on and it says I have no LAN driver, even after installing drivers through a USB. I tried to restart the PC and, again, no boot with glowing "DRAM" LED.
I bought a new board of the same kind and replaced it. I am still getting the same DRAM error and I'm at the end of my rope. What am I doing wrong?
