Lock new heroes from ranked for one week

I totally understand that people are excited and want to play the new hero, but holy shit bro throwing after throwing after throwing like people have no clue what they doing but they don't give a single fuck and will go 3-15 and I'm not even talking about plat lobbies, shit happens in top 99+ lobbies like they don't give a single fuck whatsoever. In Paladins new champs are locked from ranked for the entire split, which is something that i hated, but after playing this game for 9 months i definitely changed my mind, maybe not for the entire half season but at least for the first week.
