Trial pair felt great, but then new lenses came in and they don't feel the same

I wore Biofinity Toric for years and in the recent years they started to feel so scratchy in my eyes. I finally decided to switch so my dr let me trial a few brands. Acuvue Oasys turned the whites of my eyes really red idk why but she let me also trial Total30. They felt great. They gave me no issues at all. They got a bit dry on day 4 or 5 but I put them in clearcare overnight and they were fine after that and have been great.

So I committed to those and my dr ordered them for me. Well, I put the lenses in and the first lens I put in my right eye felt off. Like it was too big or something. It wasn't inside out or anything and I cleaned it with solution to make sure nothing was on it. It just felt off. So I opened a new one. They are making my eyes feel super dry and tired. But the trial pair felt great. I'm so confused!

I put the trial pair back in (they are only about 2.5 weeks old) and they feel great. Put the new ones back in, and they feel dry. What the heck! Has this happened to anyone else?
