The American B-17G "Miss Donna Mae II" is hit by friendly aircraft ordnance during a 19 May, 1944 bombing raid on Berlin. The bomb tore off the aircraft's left horizontal stabilizer, sending the aircraft into an uncontrolled spin and killing all eleven servicemen aboard. [740x600]
