How bad is this shutdown for yall

I’m an E3. But I’m making 40k a year living in the barracks. I still don’t know how specific I can get with why I make that much but I do.

The government shutdown really isn’t effecting me all that much. I have enough savings to cover at least six months at my current spending level. Most people i work with have enough savings to cover at least two months at their current spending level, and if they were to stretch it they could make it about 6 months and I could make it about a year.

I understand that some people have circumstances that are outside of their control, but the way it’s being portrayed in the media is as if it’s going to destroy the lives of the majority of service members.
