AITJ for refusing to help my unhinged TERF neighbor with her “emergency” babysitting request?

I (44M) live in a suburban neighborhood, in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend (42F). My next-door neighbor “Karen” is known locally for extreme, backward views (anti-trans rhetoric, often spouting that feminism has been “hijacked,” etc.).

Her husband left, and she expects everyone else to act like her caretaker. Last week, she stormed over to me, saying her babysitter canceled last minute and she had to attend a protest. She demanded I watch her kids (10M & 7F) “for a few hours.”

I told her no, I had plans, and I’m not her backup childcare. She snapped, accused me of being “a traitor to women,” and insulted my girlfriend. Some neighbors are now saying I’m cruel for refusing “because she’s a struggling single mother.”
