Hello everyone! I am caring for my aunt’s Angora rabbit while she’s on vacation, and today when cleaning her hutch there was this orange, milky, liquid? Does anyone know what this could be and why?

Additional information: I have never owned a rabbit, but I am a pet sitter and have cared for them before. Let me start off by saying I was not happy with the condition I found the rabbit in when I first arrived. I believe her hutch is quite a bit too small and I don’t think my aunt was keeping up with the cleaning because there was about an inch of caked on feces and urine on the floor of her hutch. I obviously cleaned it out and have been cleaning it daily since being here. The rabbit also has some matting. Pretty much her whole underside is matted, soggy, and stained yellow (I worry she may have urine scald). She also has matting around her face and ears, but her back is mostly mat free. She only eats pellets and Timothy hay. Although when I arrived she had no clean hay (she doesn’t have a hay rack so all the hay was soiled on the floor of her hutch). She also always has access to clean water. Her poops and pees have been normals every day before this (this is my 8th day here).

I am going to bring up my concerns about the rabbit to my aunt when she returns to the country. Any advice on what this orange (urine?) could be or what it means would be much appreciated! Also any tips for the rabbits care and how I could confront my aunt about my concerns. Thank you💗
