You never know what you will find while searching the internet...

In my 30+ years of searching the internet, I have been literally blindsided twice by photos that I found accidentally. Back in 2016, I had discovered a photo of a WW2 monument in Ooij (Nijmegen), Gelderland, The Netherlands commemorating names of literally 25 of my grandmother's cousin's extended families who had died during Operation Market Garden. The photo literally had me in tears, as this discovery was the first time I had been able to connect my family to those who had died as a result of the war. Then, about a year ago, I found a photo taken in 1943 of a group of boys sitting on a large rock in Nijmegen, The Netherlands by the Waal River in front of the Waal Bridge as it was being repaired. In that photo, the second boy from the left side is a 12 or 13 year old version of my father! This is one of the best finds I have come across on the internet over the years! You can see the photo to the right side of the page here https://www.oorlogsdodennijmegen.nl/persoon/brouwers/0d5df209-4c72-4aac-871c-49dcab2d7110 . Unfortunately, I have not been able to show the photo to my father, because he passed away 20 years ago. Keep searching, because you never know what golden treasures you will find in your internet searches!
