Is my concept antisemitic?
Hello all. I ask this question in complete sincerity. I've been working on a new roleplay/story universe for my friends, but when I began writing I was honestly unaware of some antisemitic tropes and I'm worried that a lot of my worldbuilding
To keep it short, my universe is kind of like vaguely based on Christianity. It kind of functions like Shin Megami Tensei, where there are many gods of different real world religions. Basically, there are three goddesses who are evil, and then their adversary who I will call the devil for times sake instead of getting into the details. The Devil is a good guy. The three goddesses function as basically a God. The whole society is like pseudo-Catholic.
Now, the Devil character gets his magic from a character that is supposed to be Christ in a way? It's important to note that the followers of The Devil aren't Christian in any way, but they acknowledge the existence of what functions as Christ. Just keep that in mind for later.
Now, this story is about magic and witches and stuff like that, so I thought it would be cool to have a lot of blood rituals and stuff. So the ones who function as God have their people do a couple different blood rituals. They do these because it's supposed to sort of represent how the three goddesses killed the Devil, and it's explicitly not people blood, but I already, I don't know if that seems iffy.
Here's where I'm conflicted.
So the followers of the goddesses are (basically) human, and the followers of the devil are (basically) apes. Both types of people are more or less considered to be people, but they are also different species. So, the followers of the Goddess, in some occasions, will eat the meat of the ape people. So it's sort of considered cannibalism but also not? But I don't know if it looks odd for to say the people who follow anything other than Christ are cannibals.
So, then the last thing that I'm worried about is a kind of Eating Babies problem that I have. So, the three goddesses accuse the witches (followers of the devil) of eating babies and using their heads ritual purposes, that sort of thing. That isn't true. But, the three goddesses are taken from real world mythology, and one of them is known for eating babies. This is an ancient Mesopotamian Goddess that I'm using. It's alluded to, throughout the story, that it is possible that maybe she eats babies, but it's never really confirmed or denied. The Devil eats a different ape character, but I don't think that's an issue because like apes do that sort of thing sometimes.
The society of the three goddesses are the dominant culture, but also from the prospective that I'm writing the story, it's very obvious that the three goddesses are evil because my character is of the ape race.
Tl;dr, but I don't know if it's iffy to have pseudo-cannibalism and the conceptual idea of eating babies used in a way that is shown as the opposition of Christ, and I don't know if i'm overreacting or if this is a nonsensical plotline that's really offensive. I am willing to reword this or anything to help it make more sense. Thank you in advance
