From Zero to $10/day: My Simple Plan for Making Passive Income Through Blogging

Discussion

Ever thought about starting a blog or content site to make some extra passive income, but not sure where to start or what to write about?

The truth is, even with AI tools, you still need some real knowledge about your niche. AI can help you write faster, but it can’t build trust if you don’t actually understand the topic. The good news is, the barrier to entry is lower than ever, if you pick your lane strategically.

You can go big and choose something popular or you can start small and focus on low-competition topics. These are topics that people actually search for but don’t have tons of big sites covering.

Go through this blog for actual in-depth tips.

Here’s how I’d approach it if I were starting today:

Pick a niche you know something about. It doesn’t need to be hyper-specialized, just something you can talk about with confidence.

Find low-competition topics. Look at Google’s “People also ask” boxes, Pinterest search suggestions, or tools like AnswerThePublic to see what questions people actually type in.

Publish consistently. Three solid posts a week is a good rhythm. Quality beats volume, but consistency wins long term.

Focus on solving problems. Every post should help readers do something: fix, learn, or decide.

Monetize early. Use display ads like AdSense or add affiliate links for relevant tools/products. Don’t wait until you have huge traffic.

Use social media traffic smartly. Reddit, YouTube, Threads, and Instagram can drive solid early clicks if you post useful snippets of your content.

Target high-RPM countries. Traffic from the U.S., UK, and Canada, the so-called Tier 1 Ad countries, can earn 10x more than other regions. I’ve seen 16 - 20 € RPM from the U.S. versus under 1 € from some Asian and African markets.

It might take a few months to grow, but hitting $5 -10/day from a blog is absolutely possible once you start compounding traffic.

How are you all approaching content creation in 2025?

Are you going big on AI-assisted blogs, or still sticking to manual research and writing?
