Inexperienced and looking for some tips

My wife and I are getting ready to roll. It has been years since our last and only roll and we have some more options this time.

First question is "where?" We now have young kids and my wife is uncomfortable rolling at home with them around (even if asleep). Hotel or Airbnb seem like the only options. We live in a big city so shouldn't be hard to get a nice one.

Any tips for choosing a location?

Second question is "what should we bring?" Any recommendations for food, music, etc.
