Just want to share my experience with the defective Pro controller 2 I sent to Nintendo for repair
I contacted Nintendo on September 22th for a defective Pro controller 2. It wouldnt hold a charge last a few days. For example, i went to pick up the controller one day and it was completely dead. No biggie, charged it fully, played 2 hours or so and i put it back on my shelf. A week later, went to pick it up and play, completely dead again. Weird when my original pro controller stays charged for literally 6 months of not touching it. Anyway, Nintendo agreed to take it in and inspect it. Shipped it on September 23th. Overall it was pretty hassle free and fast. I received my controller today october 10th.
There are 2 things that annoy me but they are probably nit pick.

i sent them my controller in it’s original box. They sent it back without a box. I probably should have shipped without it’s box. This annoys me because ive been collecting the switch since 2017 and I keep every boxes. I have all the pro controller 1 limited editions, and even a original controller, all displayed in my glass cabinet. Oh well, no big deal i guess. Ill buy the first limited edition of the Pro controller 2 when they release one.

The controller have a dead battery on arrival AGAIN? it has no juice at all. I had to fully charge it to use it. Now its going on the shelf for a little while and hopefully when i pick it back up in a week it won’t be dead again or I will seriously be pissed. If it happens again at this point I will probably replace the battery myself and not send it to Nintendo.
I can confirm they REPLACED the whole controller because it has a different serial number than the one I sent in.
Overall I think Nintendo CS is pretty good. They didnt argue with me they just said go, send us back your controller and we will repair it under warranty. If you have a problem with your switch, be it the joy con, the controller or the switch itself, dont be afraid of contacting Nintendo!
