Why did you believe your delusions?

The simple explanation is schizophrenia. But in my case, I tend to forget people lie, so I'm more trusting in general. And most of my delusions were coming from my voice who was/is my imaginary girlfriend (she pretended to be a real person at first). And like, when a person you love tells you something, you believe them.
