Has anyone recovered their libido with bioidentical hormone therapy after Nexplanon?

Hi everyone, I’m a 35-year-old woman and I’m hoping to find someone who’s been through something similar.

About five years ago, I had the Nexplanon implant and within a few weeks my entire sex drive disappeared — not just low libido, but completely gone. No desire, no fantasies, no spontaneous arousal, nothing. I had it removed after only three weeks, expecting everything to go back to normal once the hormones cleared, but it never did.

It’s now been five years and I still haven’t regained my libido or that natural “spark” I used to have. My periods are regular, but I feel hormonally flat — almost like my system never switched back on. I’ve read about bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) helping women reset their hormones and restore sexual desire, especially when testosterone or oestrogen levels are low even within “normal” lab ranges.

Has anyone here tried BHRT after long-term libido loss from hormonal birth control (like Nexplanon or others)? Did it actually help? How long did it take before you felt a difference, and did you stay on it long-term or was it more of a reset?
