Head to London, or stay in Oxford?

Hi there,

My partner and I will be in Oxford for an interview for 5 days, and obviously the interview will take up a bit of one. I was curious to see people opinions on going over to London for a day trip, or trying to fill our time in Oxford? I would love some recommendations on things to do in one place vs the other, as well! We are academics who enjoy museums, good food, and the occasional unique boutique. We usually tend to dislike the more "touristy" things. Thank you!
