[24, NB] || Alright, I'll bite

Age 22-25

I stumbled onto this subreddit while googling around for tips on making friends when you have niche interests/hobbies, so I figure I may as well make a post. My name's Juno, I'm 24, and I'm nonbinary and use they/them. I'm a wildly creative person- I draw, write, make video essays, and a bunch of other stuff on more hobbyist levels.

I'm autistic and as such have a big preference for talking about my own interests- I'm not incapable of talking about other things, but I'm more likely to come off as awkward or anxious during it. My biggest interest is in themed entertainment and animatronics- things like Chuck E Cheese, Rainforest Cafe, theme parks, etc. I'm currently researching a defunct themed restaurant from my childhood called Mars 2112, and I could happy gab for hours about any of these things lol, but I'll spare you for now.

I'm also interested in music (I listen to most genres, but some of my favorites off the top of my head: I love metal, especially numetal and SOAD, classic rock, classic country, hyperpop, Sublime, new wave, Sinatra-type jazz, and I have a general vague penchant for alternative music of all types. I basically listen to anything that isn't already popular lol), and I'm a video game nerd, especially for indies- some of my favorites include Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight, Hotline Miami, Katana Zero, Hypnospace Outlaw, and of course Undertale/Deltarune.

I am admittedly rusty with making friends since Covid put everyone's lives in a tailspin, but I'm hoping that just means we're all on common ground. I don't use Reddit as my main social media at all so if we're getting along I'll probably ask to continue our chat elsewhere. Thanks for reading!
