Why is no one making a SUV with a sliding passenger door?
I don’t want a minivan.
In fact, I LOVE my Element. But the suicide doors are a disaster with kids. And I love my Subaru SUV. But doors are still hard. Why is no one making a semi-rugged SUV type vehicle with a sliding door that would cater to families that don’t want the minivan vibe? Make it look a bit rugged like a lot of the more outdoorsy SUVs but put a sliding door on one side. That would look so rad. Factory included running boards. Clearance could be lower than most SUVs, but not minivan low.
Lose the minivan vibes but keep the sliding passenger door. I think it sells because both partners would get on board with it. I know I would.
