Civ learning style
I am quite new to Civ and I have been playing Civ6 and falling in love with it every time I play. I am not the biggest gamer, but I do enjoy strategy games (mainly Chess and now this).
However, how did you guys learn it? I feel I am quite impatient, and I don't want to go through the YT videos (which I have seen are great with lots of likes) or read too much of the game Wiki right away. Instead, I like to make somewhat okay strategies and play the game, though I do know that there are some "almost always follow" strategies.
Knowing that my method of playing is probably not right, how did you learn the intricate details? For example, what govt to choose when, what civics to choose, where to build etc etc. Am I playing this stupidly, or did some of you play and learn the way I am trying to.
Thank you.
