Just Beat AC7

Hello, all! Recently on a whim I downloaded this game from whenever I originally bought it on Steam and just finished it last night and wow, am I just bad or is this game difficult?

I frequently found myself running out of time on missions you have to hit points or just BARELY reaching the point number, often id fail to protect something that needed protection, and more often than I care to admit I found myself flying directly into the ground.

I definitely don't think I was efficient enough in my flying during dogfights and would catch myself flying in endless circles with the enemy plane.

Anyways, I really liked the game though, but before I run to the store and pick up some of the other games, where does AC7 fall in the series in terms of difficulty? If it is by far the easiest game, I think I might pass on playing the others haha.
