25 F lost in process associate role post law degree… career pivot advice needed

Ask r/IndiaCareers

I’m 25 and honestly feel as lost as a deer in the headlights. After my BA in English and LLB from law fac du, I couldn’t get into a law firm or corporate legal role, so I ended up taking a process associate job in US compliance since did not want to go into litigation route (combo of uncertainty, low pay + zero contacts). The pay (₹30–35k with overtime) isn’t the worst, but the work is clerical and draining even with weekends off, and my motivation is at an all-time low. I feel lethargic whenever I am not sleeping. My family situation is really toxic, and my biggest goal is to move out and live independently, but right now I have zero clarity about my career. I don’t have any network or guidance and feel like I’m stuck in a rut.

I’m considering everything at this point, government exams like CAT, SSC CGL, Bank PO, RBI Grade B, and even trying to shift towards privacy law by doing free online courses. I half-heartedly attempted IBPS SO Legal this august but the job stress ruined my prep. I’m planning to stick around until appraisal in January, then quit if nothing changes. I’d really appreciate any real advice or encouragement from people who’ve managed a career change or found a way forward in tough situations. Also trolls with marriage advice please stay away.

TL;DR:
25F, law graduate, drained by BPO job, no support or clarity, exploring government exams and privacy law, advice on career pivot needed.
