MSI MAG 321CUP QD-OLED 32-inch 3840 x 2160 (UHD) 165hz
Just purchased the MSI MAG 321CUP QD-OLED 32-inch 3840 x 2160 (UHD) 165hz monitor and its fuckin' fantastic, lol. I should have purchased the 240hz refresh rate version for competitive online FPS's, but oh well!!
I rarely use HDR for gaming at this point. Prior to buying an OLED, I used HDR for a lot of games. I've noticed HDR will cause "issues" (discoloration or vertical "rainbow" colored lines that are noticeable in certain games if you do not calibrate HDR properly but in all honesty, I would avoid using HDR unless the game is lacking color! My monitor is HDR 400 True Black certified too!
OLED is definitely a "step up" from previous technologies. Prior to purchasing this OLED, I had a very expensive ($500-600) Samsung 28" 4K LED HDR 144hz (Certified HDR400-True Black) monitor w/ the "gsync module." Looking back, I should have paid no more than $300 for that monitor, haha.
I did purchase the MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED which is a 34" 240hz 4K ULTRAWIDE monitor and I did not like it. PERSONALLY, I prefer the 32" because I feel like I'm getting more color and a better "look" to each game I play. If they can get the ultrawide to produce the same exact look as the 32", I'll definitely get a 34" ultrawide eventually.
For competitive online FPS gaming, I plan on getting a monitor with a refresh rate greater than 240hz. My card is definitely capable of pushing 300hz depending on game settings, etc.
IF you have any tips for the MSI MAG 321CUP QD-OLED 32-inch 3840 x 2160 (UHD) 165hz monitor, please chime in, thanks!
