Does the Ff7 remake trilogy cover the entire story of Final Fantasy?

I've been really confused about this, I just started ff7 remake as my first FF game. I did some research about the game and found out that's it's supposed to be a trilogy and remake only covers 1 part of the story. So by that does it mean just ff7 or the entire FF story?
