Tips For Staying Organized, Productive & Successful on Social Media!
Hey guys :) im a full time content creator - I do SFW ASMR on YouTube, TikTok and patreon, and NSFW stuff on OF. I wanted to share some advice on staying on top of things, bc it can get very overwhelming!
- Make to do lists/plan out your days beforehand. If I have a busy admin/posting/editing day coming up I make sure to make a time blocked schedule. being self employed means you have no one telling you what to do and when, so you have to do it yourself. I find making a schedule helps me visualize everything that needs to get done and keeps me on track.
- Get out of the house to do admin work. ie. cafe, library, park, honestly anywhere! this helps me SO much. i feel way less productive working in the same place I sleep. I also get distracted very easily. doing work elsewhere gives me time for very focused work. Also, content creation can be isolating so Its important to get out!
- Batch shoot content. i find it too much to do hair, makeup, studio setup everyday. So I allot 2-3 days a week for filming. That way I can focus on the admin/editing things on other days. This requires some planning ahead but is very worth it
- Keep a list of content ideas. I get random inspo and immediately write it down in my master list of ideas. That way when im planning what to film, I already have a bunch of ideas ready to go. Ill even do this for Youtube videos titles I think sound catchy so I can use it later
- Make time to get offline. it’s so easy to get too caught up in the hoopla of social media. You really need to unplug and forget about it sometimes to prevent burnout, and stay inspired.
- Rent a hotel or airbnb to batch shoot/change scenery. Of course only if it’s In your budget! I like variety in backgrounds in my content and this is a great way to. Also sometimes I feel uncreative in the same room I always film in. I find getting to a hotel/airbnb unlocks new content styles for me!
I have plenty more tips like this as I’ve been doing this for 4 years! Im happy to help! :)
