Remember When 'Magic' was the IP?

This isn't my video; a friend sent it to be, but hot damn if this doesn't capture the sentiment! This was my favourite MTG trailer for a set (below if you wanna see it). The lead in and build up to this was crazy, and this trailer for War of the Spark was so well done - steeped in the lore and history of the characters and their conflicts! Plus, an amazing remix to boot.

There's so much build up that can't accurately even be captured in the trailer. I think that's why that was the peak for me. I was so stoked for that set and that pre- release and how everything would connect and the impacts on the game moving forward.

Now....: "_____: The Gathering". With TMNT and Spiderman, I suppose we now need a New York plane...and I find that notion upsetting.
