People harassing me and my client while working
Hi guys, this is kind of a weird post but I’m looking for some advice.
I have a client who I work with weekly in one on one sessions. We frequently work around her neighborhood. However, she has several male neighbors who have started yelling things at us when we are working. They yell from their cars as they drive by or they’ll see us across the street and yell.
Nothing horrible but things like “Who’s training who?” Or “Having fun yet? Doesn’t look like it.” And other things that hurt my client’s self esteem. She already struggles with confidence and not only are these men distracting us while we work but it’s having an effect on her as well.
I’m not sure what to do in this situation. Do I confront them and ask them to stop? Do I just ignore them and try to reassure the client that she’s doing fine?
It’s very frustrating and annoying and I’ve never encountered this situation before.
If any other trainers have advice I would really appreciate it.
