Verizon’s Support Is an absolute clown show. Lost $1,000 and Got Help from "Riya," the AI That's convinced I Own a Galaxy Ring.

I’ve been a customer with Verizon for 10 years, but this latest experience? Absolute shit show.
My service died unexpectedly this morning, costing me a $1,000/month client contract. No signal. No warning. No fix. So I go to support expecting... I don’t know… a human with the ability to do literally anything*?*

Instead, I get "Riya."

Oh… but not just once. I got “Riya” in multiple different chat instances.
Asked for a name and an employee ID? Ignored and brushed off.
Asked for a manager? Ignored.
Tried escalating? Stonewalled.
And what did they send me to fix it?

A QR code.
For a Galaxy Watch
That I don’t even own...

Then, when I say that I can’t follow the setup steps because I don’t have a Galaxy Watch or Ring, they legit just repeat the same instructions again like I’m stuck in some dystopian AI loop.

Highlights
“Please reset your network settings.”
“Try factory resetting your phone.”
“Here's a Galaxy Watch QR code to fix your phone.”
"We can't give employee IDs. Just trust us. I'm Riya."
"My name is Steve Morrison" (No not the NFL linebacker mind you👀)
“Setup instructions are the same for all devices.” (Uhh... no, they’re not.)
Refused to let me speak to a manager, corporate, or any actual human being.

And the best part?

I was generous. I didn’t demand the full monthly income I lost out on because of them. I asked for 3 months of free service.
Still waiting on even a response to that request.

But here's the thing: I didn't fight them when they double charged me for my newest phone. I stuck with them when they abysmally screwed up the initial setup of my new phone, and it took days to resolve. I ate those losses. I gave them more chances than any company deserves. But now? I just can't do it anymore. Customer service is so bad it's beyond parody.

TL;DR:
Lost $1,000 of monthly income due to Verizon’s failed service. Got trapped in bot hell, received unrelated setup instructions for a device I don’t even have, and got “Riya” as my “agent” in multiple chats with no accountability. I asked for a manager. Got stonewalled. Asked again. Got AI-mumbled. Verizon refuses to do anything. I still don't have service, and I can't even get a hold of a live person. I'm either relegated to chatbot hell or infinite hold times on the phone.

If you're considering switching, don’t walk. Run!

Drop your Riya stories below. Let’s see how many of us got the same "support agent."
