What's the dumbest thing you ever initiated while driving?

Like things YOU started. Not stupid things you had to do to avoid a wreck.

For me that was when I was stuck behind this one woman who was the "I AM THE ONE DICTATING THE SPEED LIMIT!!!" type. I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and everything except towns is literally 50mph. It's not bumper to bumper traffic, we just drive.

And this lady was driving me insane. There was a line of cars between me and her so I didn't dare try to pass her...but others did. And she'd speed up to block them before dropping back to her constant fucking 30mph after they gave up.

Eventually everyone left and then it was just me following. I was done with her shit. A normal 10 minute drive home from work was now at 40 MINUTES! I had one last 3 minute going the speed limit stretch and I'd be home and I had a plan.

After this last small town between me and home there is a passing zone which is just one long stretch of road so I gunned it and started to pass. She once again, sped up. We were both flying down this stretch and I finally glanced at my Speedometer, I was going 85mph and then I chanced a glance to my right and saw a middle aged woman with her hair in a top bun. And she looked shocked and scared.

The bend at the end of the stretch was fast approaching and I started to get nervous too but it was like some weird fucked up game of chicken we were playing, both flying down the road doing almost 90 because she wanted to be first and I was sick of her Karen-like bullshit.

Finally, she gave up and stepped on the brakes, allowing me to get in front of her and start slowing down back to the speed limit and not take an extra 10 - 20 minutes to get home.

I actually didn't realize the bitch picked up the pace until I was making my sharp left turn and started up my hill that was basically parallel with the main road until I caught a glimpse of her ducking down to look up throw her door window. As if she was trying to see if she recognized the crazy lady who went 🖕 to her and triggered impromptu street race.

I still giggle remembering her face when she realized I wasn't giving up and falling in line behind her even though it was incredibly stupid as anyone could've turned that bend at any moment and I could have been going too fast to slow down rapidly and safely.

Pretty much the only stupid risk I ever made while driving (so far) but hopefully I won't get road rage enough to do something even dumber.
