KCM is underrated when talked about thematically and symbolically, it represents a complete change in Naruto’s character, honestly it’s Naruto best form in the series

(Kyuubi)KCM1-Kyuubi chakra mode represents Naruto’s two suns, his gift from his parents, all throughout the series Naruto had low self confidence, he always thought he wasn’t good enough mainly because of the leaf but also because he didn’t know his parents, he didn’t know if they loved him, abandoned him or anything even after he met Minato he still had hatred in his heart and anger at Minato for dooming him to despair, for a little bit
But once he’s mother tells him the truth of the night he was born and how his parents met, he was filled with joy, not just for himself but also his parents.
He knew he wasn’t abandoned, he wasn’t cursed in fact he was gifted to protect the leaf, to make his parents proud
Naruto now loves himself and has no more self doubt, you can see in his interactions from then on he has no anger in his heart
You can say Naruto found enlightenment
Naruto says to “Madara”
“It isn’t a curse to be a jinchuriki”
Now this means something to Kurama but it’s main message was about Naruto’s two suns to say that being a jinchuriki is a curse is to say that his parents cursed him which he knows isn’t true
That’s also why Naruto wants to ripped off this “Tobi” guys mask because he doesn’t want to be anybody to Naruto that doesn’t make any sense because Naruto wouldn’t want to be anyone else in the world

Naruto is proving himself to the world,to himself, to his parents and to Kurama
Sadly Naruto still has to steal chakra from him

(Kurama)KCM2- Kurama chakra mode represents the completion of Naruto’s character arc and Kurama’s, his inner demon.
The main themes of Naruto are bonds, connections and cooperation (something the bell test tested team 7 on)

throughout the series they hated each other, Naruto just saw him as a demon fox that ruined his life, and Kurama saw him as nothing but a object that he was cursed to be sealed in but Kurama saw Naruto as similar to him, we see Kurama acted lot nicer and manipulative to Naruto in contrast to Kushina why is that?
Because Naruto and Kurama are the same(in a symbolic sense) they deal with the same problems and have the same character arc,
They were both hated by others for no reason
They were both lonely
They both had deep hatred for others
Kurama saw Naruto as a extension of himself
That’s why he liked the dark Naruto from the waterfall of truth

You can see this with the kyuubi forms, changing Naruto’s appearance more and more, destroying his body and forming Kurama’s around it to the point where Naruto is a giant skinless fox
Naruto always is the one to give the okay, we can see many times
Naruto is the one who asked for power against Sasuke,Orochimaru and Pain and that’s why Naruto couldn’t defeat Kurama because Kurama was the hatred Naruto accepted it into himself but his hatred was too deep and too attached to his soul
But something happened, Love.
Love defeated Kurama not once but multiple times, Minato’s love, Kushina’s love, that love allowed Naruto to overcome hatred and that is the path of peace. Love allows others to forget about Pain and suffering, Hatred
Kurama at first hated Naruto even more.
A tiny extension just usurped you and took your chakra

But Kurama started to Naruto in different light, from how Naruto treated the others tailed beasts not as beasts but as people, learned their names and respected them
Seeing Naruto go through great effort to free them from “Tobi”

The Iruka flashback is important symbolism
It means something to both Naruto and Kurama
To Naruto it’s the the first time anyone acknowledged him

To Kurama it’s represents what’s happening now, Naruto is Iruka, and Mitsuki is the world

Kurama was no longer the Kyuubi, he was now Kurama of the hidden leaf, Naruto stripped away his hatred and he actually been doing so the entire time

Sage of six paths/Juubi chakra mode-
This form only exist because of who Naruto is
Naruto’s understanding of others and ninja way, it’s his reward

From respecting the tailed beasts
To saving Obito uchiha
Soaring Nagato
Not killing Sasuke
Saving Gaara
Shoving the truth into Zabuza’s face
Showing Neji’s hypocrisy and flawed world view

For not giving up ever, not going down the easy path

 Naruto helped so many others
While Madara got the tailed beasts on collar, Naruto was willingly given their chakra

His two final opponents (until Sasuke)

Are Kaguya and Black Zetsu
One is the antithesis to Him and other to the themes of the series

Black Zetsu is the complete opposite of Naruto
he sees Shinobi as nothing but tools to the point of shit talking the man who did the most for his plan once he died, he lost someone close to him and was not able to move on in life and spent his life trying to revive her, all he wants and produced is chaos, he tricked, lied and killed so many, he’s not brave,

Kaguya is the antithesis to the themes of the series
She has no bonds or connection, she works with no one, she’s entire isolated, she has deep hatred for everyone using her chakra similarly to Kurama everything is just an extension of her using her chakra and she wants it back, she’s almost thoughtless, she in fact the perfect shinobi that Zabuza and Sasuke wanted to be, she represents the evils in Naruto world
The greed, manipulation, hatred,
Madara even tho he said he wanted peace, he was delighted when ever he got fight someone and disrespected others when they were weak, he fell back into the path of Kaguya
It is Kaguya who created the cycle of hatred

Naruto defeats to symbolism his overcoming of hatred and that cycle.
But Naruto now has to come to an answer
Which is why Sasuke and him fight
Sasuke sees peace with pain as the only way

But Naruto learned from Iruka, Jiraiya, his parents and Kurama that peace through love not just accept pain but overcoming it is the only way to peace, to not give up, to never go back on his ninja way which is why he wins this fight

KCM represents the end and reward of Naruto’s character arc and it’s message to the viewer
To never give up, to not detach yourself from reality, to endure

“It’s kinda like a prayer. To keep enduring until it comes to be, no matter what. And to those whom that task falls on….perhaps that’s what it means to be a Ninja”

Happy Birthday, Naruto Uzumaki, the greatest hokage
