Bike parking
Hi all -
just a random post…
I am Dutch, married to a Melburnian, we have tge luxury of splitting our time between NL and Oz. We both love how Melbourne is catching up on bike culture - not without its challenges clearly, but there has been a huge change over the last 20 or-so years, and we hope the trajectory will continue.
I visited Utrecht the other day and thought (possibly arrogantly as a Dutchie) that probably not many Aussies will have considered something like this even an option:
The world’s largest bicycle parking - it’s amazing. Space for 12.500 bikes, open 24/7, 40 staff, free for the first 24hrs, then A$1.40/day.
What do you guys think?
