[Massachusetts] Skipping a week

i am hoping to skip a week in order to stretch out the amount i have left in my balance and because im taking care of my mother which has taken up a lot of my time so im frankly not ready to work yet - they told me this was fine to do as long as i dont do it 2 weeks in a row but they didn’t give me instructions on how to file in this instance. the only reason you can indicate you didn’t file is due to an “approved illness” but there’s nothing else. i’m worried if i say i was available to work but didn’t apply, that ill run into issues. has anyone ever done this for a non-illness reason?
