Comically bad shipping and damage to purchase
I’ll get right to it - purchased a Tivoli table radio for a decent price from a seller who has 17 transactions and a 93% seller rating. Photos looked okay, though the radio was a little dusty. No big deal, figured I would clean it when it arrived. Flash forward to this afternoon and I see a very small package in my driveway and didn’t think it was the radio because the package was simply too small. Sure enough my name on it. Uh oh. I could barely open the box properly since it seemed like the seller just wrapped mismatched cardboard over the radio and called it a day. Get the radio out and a corner of the wood was chipped and even though I knew right there I was going to return it, unplugged it in and it’s completely dead. Go to start the return and notice the famous “does not accept returns”. I’ll go through the process to have eBay step in next week but just baffled why anyone wouldn’t take the smallest effort to pack and ship something correctly. After using eBay for 20 years this is the worst packaged item I’ve ever seen.
