That One Project That Aged Me 5 Years in 6 Months

I swear this one project turned my hair grey before its first milestone.

Picture this:

• Scope? Changing every week.
• Deadlines? Yesterday.
• Stakeholders? 12 people with 13 opinions.
• My sanity? On backorder.

There were days I was 90% caffeine and 10% damage control. At one point, I started naming my risks like pets — “Oh look, Scopey McCreepy is back!” 😅

But you know what? That nightmare project taught me emotional intelligence, negotiation, and stakeholder handling faster than any certification ever could.

Now whenever a new PM panics, I just smile and say: “You never really manage projects… you manage people under pressure.”
