Parking Guide for David Byrne at The Met Philly (Oct 17, 2025)

hey figured i'd share some parking tips for the david byrne show at the met next week since it can be a little crazy around there.

honestly the best thing i've found is this app called Prked. you can rent someones private driveway or garage right next to The Met for the night. it's usually way cheaper than the official lots and you get a guaranteed spot waiting for you. the best part is you skip all the traffic chaos of everyone trying to get into the same couple of lots and you just have a super short walk to the venue.

if you want to go the official route, the met has a few lots. Lot A is at 855 N Broad Street, Lot C is at 1413 Parrish Street, and Lot D is at 1406 Melon Street. they also have VIP parking and valet right out front but that gets expensive, i think i saw it for like $45 or $55 online. keep in mind Lot A opens 1 hour before doors, and the others open around 6pm on weeknights. be prepared for a long wait to get out after the show, it can be a real bottleneck.

there are other garages in the area but you might be walking a half mile or so which isnt ideal if the weather is bad or late at night.

you can try to find street parking in the neighborhoods around broad street. some people get lucky and find a free spot a few blocks away. just be really careful and read the signs. a lot of the area is 2-hour parking unless you have a residential permit. getting a ticket or towed would be a terrible end to the night.

no matter where you park, plan to get there early. broad street gets super congested on show nights. public transport is also a solid option, the broad street line subway stops a couple blocks away at Girard or Fairmount, and a few buses run right by the venue too.

hope this helps everyone out. it's gonna be an amazing show
