Enabling Echo Cancellation causes instant Discord crash

Working on fixing an esports computer in a computer lab. New user logs in and starts discord with default settings (specifically voice & video). If echo cancellation is on and user starts a call (or even does the mic test) - the call disconnects instantly and the entire discord windows app reloads. Disabling echo cancellation (or using Discord in the browser) makes the issue not happen. Windows was wiped and reloaded right before testing this.

Has anyone ran into this issue before and/or have solution?
