Do gnostics have to worry about the "mark of the beast"?

With the UK bringing in digital ID which will be required for everything including "access to money" it's strongly ringing of

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

I can see digital ID being shifted into a mark like a barcode or a quantum dot tattoo in the future. They could claim people can steal/borrow other peoples digital id cards or credentials so they need us to get a "mark" instead.

So my question is, is there any mention of this in the gnostic texts?

I try not to worry about material world things for obvious reasons however with the MOTB in Revelations thrown around so much and my country actually bringing in a precursor of it, it's hard not to sit up and take notice...
