Anyone else just not get parties?

like, i don't get the appeal at all. You get drunk/high or whatever, dance to music, and eat food. that's it. that sounds so fucking lame to me. staying home with a bunch of your friends and just playing Mario party sounds so much better than just dancing with random people.
