Homeschool parents: How do you create assessments and practice tests?

Help!

Question for experienced homeschoolers - how do you handle creating

assessments and practice tests?

I'm curious because it seems incredibly time-consuming to:

- Extract content from textbooks/curriculum

- Write different question types (multiple choice, short answer, etc.)

- Create answer keys

- Grade and track progress

Do you:

- Create tests from scratch each time?

- Reuse and modify tests year to year?

- Rely entirely on curriculum-provided assessments?

- Use any tools or apps that actually save time?

How many hours per week do you spend on assessment creation vs teaching?

Trying to understand the workflow - any insights appreciated!
