What to do when you don’t want to read anymore.

I just feel exhausted. At the same time I also had convinced myself I don’t need to read anymore to be “good.” I’ve been a good student of literature for a long time and I just feel like reading is being used a mechanism of forming taste. It feels derivative and not encouraging spontaneity. For the most part, I understand the technical elements of writing too. I’m not trying to be an abstract writer either, so I’m not sure what else I need to learn beyond what I already know. All books feel like variations of the same thing. I’m not excited by them right now. I’m more excited by my own writing and my own ideas, and, on the contrary, I feel that reading is hindering me. Not sure if any of this is justified or simply the ravings of a slouch.
