SA potentially lied about price increase on a certain item to rush me into buying

I went to David Yurman store and asked my SA if she will be able to check if a particular item will be included in the price increase. She said she knows for a fact this item will be included. I asked if she is able to check how much it will be, she said yes. She looked in her computer and her face changed. She said Im sorry I cant tell you how much its gonna be but it will be more expensive so buy now. I bought the item and guess what, the price for this item did not go up. Did she see it in her computer but decided to lie in order for me to buy the item? If thats the case, I don’t think David Yurman would appreciate this kind of business being done at his stores.
