Scared my son is diabetic?

My 6 year old son is obese my BMI standards regardless of how active we are and how healthy we are. There is no junk food in my house.

We got bloodwork and the hemoglobin A1C is normal. However, the random insulin (not glucose) is 56 (I’m in the US). He did eat about an hour before this.

Does this point to insulin resistance?! I can’t get in to the doc for a week or so so im turning to Reddit.
