Question 3: Can we truly have the Streisand effect and privacy online, or is it just an illusion?
One of the most amazing issues of the internet today is the Streisand effect, which states that efforts to conceal or censor content online frequently increase awareness of it. The idea began in 2003 when singer Barbra Streisand attempted to have pictures of her house taken down from the internet, but her lawsuit only served to increase the number of people who saw the pictures. This shows how privacy can seem like a myth on the internet.
