Face waxing, no bumps?

So I have really dark facial hair and prefer to wax it. I use hard wax. Whole cheek, chin, a tiny bit of side burns, upper lip, and eyebrows. I exfoliate my face daily.

The upper lip and eyebrow hairs are short and thick, and wax NEVER picks them up. It doesn’t matter how long I let it grow, what direction I go, or how I adjust my heat, it never ever grabs them. Any tips or wax suggestions for this?

I also have an issue with the rest of the face, which has dark, thin, long hairs. I can get these areas completely smooth butttt the next day I’ll have red bumps and white heads all over my face, especially by my cheek bones. I’ve tried using a gentle cleanser and cold compress right after waxing to reduce this but it doesn’t seem to help. This one feels like user error, any ideas how I could help this? Or maybe there’s a better wax for this as well?
