Extreme exhaustion and weakness
I started developing Covid symptoms on Monday this week, but thought it was a regular flu. It wasn’t until I woke up on Wednesday feeling like I’d gotten hit by a truck that I suspected otherwise.
I had the combined cough, sore throat, muscle aches and sick feeling in my stomach, but the major factor was the sheer exhaustion.
It wiped me out so much, walking five steps from my living room to my bedroom wiped me out. I spent three days in bed unable to even read, lift my head, or make a call without feeling utterly exhausted.
It’s been six days and I’m getting better, but the sheer strength of the fatigue really makes me anxious. I’m in my late 20s, I have good fitness and health, this has really drained every bit of energy I have.
Is this normal for whatever strain is going around at the moment? I’m not in pain, I’m just so entirely exhausted. I took three days off work, and I really don’t know if I can justify taking even more time off, as I work from home anyway.
It’s just shaken me up how severe and lengthy the symptoms have been on this variant. Anyone have any guidance or info?
