Happy Home Designer (3DS) was better than Paradise (DLC)
Like yes, paradise had more creativity but also the furniture in NH is just so much less appealing to me, i dunno. Like yes, it's cool you can make almost any furniture so many different colours but I enjoyed what we got out of happy home because the furniture was quirky and different.
I LOVED the main street. I loved how detailed the exteriors looked, loved the different places, loved the floor plans. the happy home paradise facilities look like dollshouses, so plain. and there are no interesting floor plans - just one floor or two, no basements, no side rooms. I get that happy home it would literally take 4-5 remodels to get a fully expanded house but that's better to me than the lame formulas of happy home paradise.
The special NPCs feel out of place and they have no secondary outfits, which sucks. The exterior terrains are just really weird and there's no way to get rid of the rope barriers which is just a very weird oversight. I never feel inspired to design exteriors because they always feel so out of place.
I get one is a DLC and the other is a full on game which, for example is why we only got 5 facilities, and I like happy home paradise's plaza area and the connection to the main island, but I like never have any desire to build anything in HHP. It just feels so personality-less, and a lot of the prompts don't have proper furniture to go with it
