[F4A]”That Fire in Your Eyes”

The city isn’t a kind one. It hides its rot behind neon lights — deals whispered in alleys, men who vanish between one breath and the next. You learn to keep your head down, to walk fast, and not ask questions if it’s dark out.

College life is supposed to be an escape from all that. Classes, late-night ramen, the faint sound of music bleeding through dorm walls.

Then there’s her — your roommate. The bombshell of the entire college. The quiet girl with long orange hair who never says more than she has to. Smart. Beautiful. A part of the swim team. Muscles that almost seem out of character for a swimmer. Always just a little out of reach, and way above your league.

One night, the city swallows you too.

A wrong turn. A group of men. The kind who don’t bother hiding what they are. You’re shoved into an alley, words turn to threats, and you know this won’t end well.

Then the air ignites. A burst of flame cuts through the dark, trailing from a figure that moves faster than you can follow. When the shouting stops and the heat fades, the men are on the ground and standing over them is your roommate, her hands still glowing faintly like dying embers.

You know it’s her. Hair cascading down her back like flames, a red jacket underneath it, and those orange eyes that pierce through you even at this late a night.

How much has she been hiding?

I’m looking for a partner to engage in a kind of strange combination of ideas. This can have elements of a darker world, fantasy elements, even slice-of-life at times. They’re still in college, after all.

I’m looking to also expand this world, to see what you might wanna bring in?
