Buying used Epson V600

Hello - I’m doing a lot of research and getting cross eyed.

If I buy a used Epson V600 on eBay can I still download the appropriate software for it? Does it have to have a cable to connect to a MacBook Pro? Can I use it with a 2024 MacBook Pro?

I’m finding these answers but there’s always a catch or something and I’d love for an expert just to tell me straight up!

Trying to just use it to scan color and black and white 35mm and 120mm film I’m developing myself at home.
