Is it common to think you look much better in selfies than irl?

Hiya

I feel like I can look pretty in selfies, especially when I put on makeup, but I also feel like irl I look WAY worse.

I’m 6’1, I try to embrace my height and sometimes I love it, but I also feel like it made my posture horrible, and my shoulders also feel ginormous. When I take a video of myself, I am genuinely appalled at what I see (I know that’s not how I should talk to myself, but it’s the truth), especially after I’ve been building confidence after taking some selfies.

How common is it to feel pretty in selfies, and extremely ugly in videos?? Sometimes I feel like a catfish because anytime I see my full body I realize I’m a lot uglier than I thought :(
