I found a Sony PVM-8044Q in the trash and I can't test if it works
Hello, I'm from Spain. This afternoon, I was spending the day in Madrid when I found a Sony PVM-8044Q monitor in the trash. In my excitement, I didn't notice that the back says it operates at 120V, and in Spain, the outlets are 220V.
I know that with a transformer I could test if it works, but I've been told that there is a connector that works at 12V and with the right connector adapter I could turn it on (if it really works).
The reason for this post is that I know absolutely nothing about professional CRT monitors, and I don't have any knowledge of electronics, so before I do anything and risk breaking the monitor, I'd rather know what my options are.
Thank you very much.
