I can’t unsee how bad Battlefield 6 feels after playing The Finals.

Discussion

I played the Battlefield 6 beta with a friend, and we had a blast. While waiting for the full release of BF6 and Arc Raiders, we stumbled upon The Finals. It’s an FPS made by the same studio that’s also behind Arc Raiders.

We ended up playing The Finals nonstop until BF6 finally dropped… and honestly, it completely ruined BF6 for me. The Finals is the best FPS I’ve ever played. It’s fast, creative, and everything just feels right.

The crazy part? The Finals was made by a much smaller studio… yet it feels so much more polished and well designed than bf6. After playing it, BF6 feels like a mobile game. I hate to say that, but it’s true.

How is it possible that in BF6, a half-destroyed building still has a spotless, brand-new couch sitting there like it came straight from IKEA? How can the respawn screen have such low-res textures that you can literally see the pixels? Why does reviving a teammate include this pointless pause before the animation finally ends?

Details matter and that’s exactly where BF6 and 90% of the other games completely drops the ball.
